Creating a sustainable built environment in which individuals can thrive is an always evolving process, and not always linear in direction. The lsc design studio logo represents three circles that are not perfect in form, but together express how the design process shifts and moves to meet the clients' needs while maintaining the overall integrity of the design process, which is organic in nature and time. Creating an environment for people to live and work is always a kinesthetic experience.
Linda S. Cohen, ASID LEED® AP
Linda Cohen is an Interior Designer and Principal of lsc design studio llc with over 20 years of commercial interiors experience. Her firm is dedicated to creating functional, high quality interior spaces that are sensitive to the surrounding environment and responsive to the client’s vision and needs.
Linda’s affinity for design evolved fairly early in life. In high school an art teacher assigned Linda the task to choose the paint colors for the school’s walls; while in college she designed whimsical theater sets for a children’s community production of Babar (the elephant);
and during her junior year abroad in Rome, Italy, Linda studied architectural design. These experiences were the foundation for her love of space, design and aesthetics.
Linda’s professional career began in 1991 where she worked at Tsoi/Kobus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She went on to earn her M.S. in Design at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1997 and then moved to Seattle, Washington to work at Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership as an interior designer. While employed at ZGF for over eight years, Ms. Cohen honed her skills in commercial interiors, received her LEED certification and passed the National Certification of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) exams.
In 2005 Linda opened lsc design studio following her vision to design environments where people can thrive. Her company’s first sustainable job was an office tenant improvement project that was a pilot program for BuiltGreen. Since then lsc design studio continues to seek sustainable projects in the commercial and residential industry.
As owner and principal of lsc design studio Linda serves her clients by focusing on a holistic approach to the interior environment design.
